Job Description:

Purpose of this role is to create 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks for machine components and assemblies, also applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

We are looking for a highly skilled Computer Aided Drafting and Design professional with expertise in latest tools and techniques.

  • This position will be responsible for engineering documentation for Centrifugal Pumps and its peripheral equipment.
  • The right candidate should have experience in mechanical engineering stream.
  1. Create detailed product designs
  2. Apply GD&T principles and check tolerance stacks on assemblies
  3. VA/VE and product rationalization
  4. Manufacturing aspects of a product based on DFA, DFM
  5. Handle BOM and engineering documentation related activities
  6. Co-ordinate with internal as well as global counterparts through virtual conference calls or emails

Key requirements include Exceptionally strong drawing reading / understanding skills, Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Good understanding of manufacturing processes like Casting and Machining, Excellent analytical skills, Good communication and presentation skills, Expertise in SolidWorks is a must, Familiarity with simple structural simulations, Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology, 4 to 6 years of experience.
