Job Overview

As a skilled database professional, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL Server database objects. Your expertise in T-SQL development, performance tuning, and indexing will ensure high-quality data structures and efficient query execution.

Collaborate with application developers to design normalized and scalable data structures. Build and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS, implement database security, backup, recovery, and high availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers).
  • Optimize T-SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans for high performance.
  • Support cross-platform integration with Oracle databases (PL/SQL).
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines (primarily using SSIS; Oracle ETL exposure is a plus).
  • Implement and monitor database security, backup, recovery, and high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, blocking/deadlocks, and optimize resource utilization.
Requirements:
  • 6–7 years of total IT experience with 5–6 years in SQL Server database development.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
  • Hands-on T-SQL development (stored procedures, triggers, functions, views).
  • Proven skills in performance tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL (procedures, packages, functions).
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS or equivalent ETL tools.
  • Strong knowledge of backup/recovery strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery.
