Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Specialist

The role of an HVAC specialist is multifaceted and requires strong technical skills, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, including air conditioners, chillers, furnaces, air handlers, and ventilation units.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in HVAC system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, as well as a strong understanding of electrical components and refrigeration cycles.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Diploma/ITI/Technical certification in HVAC, Mechanical, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and withstand varying weather conditions.

A suitable candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Adjusting system controls to improve performance and ensure energy efficiency.
  • Testing and balancing air and hydronic systems to meet performance standards.
  • Maintaining accurate service and repair records, documenting all work performed.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Responding promptly to emergency service calls.
  • Collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to resolve system issues.
