Financial Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Finance and Accounting Expert to lead our financial operations. As the Head of Finance and Accounting, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, effective cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management & Strategy
  • Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to drive business growth.
  • Optimize cost, improve margins, and enhance profitability through data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance against business goals and provide actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  1. Accounts & Reporting
  • Precisely prepare and present financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to stakeholders.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and lead a high-performing accounting team.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and applicable financial reporting standards.
  1. Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of statutory requirements including GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC filings, and other applicable laws.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure seamless audits and compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes impacting the manufacturing sector.
  1. Treasury & Working Capital Management
  • Strategically manage cash flows, banking operations, and fund utilization to maximize returns.
  • Expertly oversee working capital management, credit control, and debtor management.
  • Negotiate with banks, financial institutions, and investors for optimal funding and project financing.
  1. Cost Control & MIS
  • Implement efficient cost accounting systems and monitor production-related costs.
  • Present regular Management Information System (MIS) reports to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Support business units with financial analysis to aid in pricing, costing, and investment decisions.
  1. Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering skill development and high performance.
  • Establish robust internal controls and processes across the department.
  • Cultivate a culture of integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field; Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
  • 8-15 years of experience in Accounts & Finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in manufacturing (preferably metals/steel sector).
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, cost control, and treasury management.
  • Strong track record in handling audits, liaising with banks, and managing working capital.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
