
Business Development Category Manager

**Job Description**
- The role holder will be responsible for vendor sourcing and management. This involves finding new vendors, onboarding them, scheduling orders, making timely payments, recording debits as per the process, and developing products (GM).
- Simultaneously, he/she will need to manage relationships with existing vendors.
- The role holder will also be responsible for managing the assigned category and related product/merchandise selection.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Identify products, offers, and negotiate the best rates.
- Analyze consumption patterns across various geographies.
- Ensure profitable growth for the categories.
- Manage inventory, team, conduct competition benchmarking, and market visits.
- Perform data analysis, planning, forecasting, sales growth, product enhancement, and product lifecycle management.
**Requisites:**
- A graduate/postgraduate/MBA degree with a minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG (sales GT background)/General Merchandising Product base industry (sales background) with good understanding of category.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, planning, delegation, coordination, follow-up, and team handling skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel is a must.
