Piping Stress Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Piping Stress Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will have expertise in piping stress analysis, pipe support design, and surge analysis. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry standards and codes, including ASME B31.3, B31.4, and ISO 14692. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform piping stress analysis using Caesar II software and pipe supports design for pipelines/piping above-ground and underground.
  • Conduct surge analysis of metallic & non-metallic pipes using PIPENET software.
  • Prepare surge analysis reports and submit them to employers as official deliverables.
  • Coordinate with vendors to obtain correct pipe properties and ensure stress analysis conforms to vendor-supplied parameters.
  • Review vendor data and drawings to ensure conformity to ITB requirements.
  • Initiate Value Engineering solutions and implement them in consultation with other disciplines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in piping stress analysis, pipe support design, and surge analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes, including ASME B31.3, B31.4, and ISO 14692.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
