Cybersecurity Sales Director Job Description

Leading the sales strategy for cybersecurity products and services in the Indian market, this role involves building relationships with key enterprise clients, developing strategic sales plans, and achieving revenue targets.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets for cybersecurity products and services in India.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote cybersecurity solutions.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to deal closure, ensuring accurate forecasting and pipeline management using CRM tools.
  • Conduct market research to identify client needs and assess competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to design and present tailored cybersecurity solutions demonstrating strong technical acumen.
  • Work closely with marketing, product management, and technical teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with product offerings and customer needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events to promote cybersecurity solutions and generate leads.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM systems.

Qualifications and Skills

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in cybersecurity sales or IT solution sales within India.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
  • Strong technical acumen with in-depth understanding of cybersecurity technologies including NGFWs, SIEM, cloud security, identity and access management, endpoint protection, and emerging technologies like AI-driven threat detection and zero trust frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage C-level executives and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment and adapt to evolving market conditions.
