Product Development Leader

Our organization is seeking a seasoned product engineering leader to spearhead our new and emerging product lines. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including senior leaders, product managers, developers, quality analysts, and infrastructure specialists to establish a robust product engineering process.
The ideal candidate will be reasonably hands-on and able to take charge of end-to-end product engineering requirements for multiple product lines.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute product roadmaps in conjunction with strategy, product, and business teams.
- Serve as a thought leader and mentor on architecture, design, and technical aspects of products.
- Identify and deploy suitable tools, frameworks, techniques, and processes to enhance productivity and solve technology problems effectively.
- Oversee product development, testing, deployment, and maintenance within agreed timeframes.
- Own non-functional requirements (NFRs) for products.
- Contribute to the selection and hiring of product engineering team members.
- Responsible for full-stack product development and release, including architecture, design, development, and testing within agreed timeframes.
- Adapt and iterate quickly based on user and business feedback and metrics.
- Experience in product development companies is highly desirable.
- Adept at agile software development and management methods, including user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.
- Confident in using off-the-shelf software components rather than building everything from scratch.
- Able to prioritize progress over perfection and have a track record of shipping value to customers.
- Hands-on experience with Typescript.
- Familiarity with JavaScript-based front-end frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte, and back-end technologies like Node.js.
- Well-versed in service-oriented architecture and have built and deployed RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints.
- Experience in building and shipping features for high-traffic web applications and mobile applications.
- Familiarity with RDBMS (preferably MySQL) and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
- Skilled in using observability tools to identify and isolate problems.
- Passionate about working together with a team to solve customer problems.
- Excited about teaching and mentoring team members.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
