Job Overview

We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our team.

About the Role

  • This is a key position responsible for the administration and maintenance of our IT systems, including application management, incident management, and monitoring overall performance.
  • You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of our production environment and maintain applications according to SLA and business needs.
  • Other responsibilities include periodic standby for emergencies, operationalizing priority setting, functioning as a 1st escalation point for vendors and user community, and ensuring IM process compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application management for SAP Ariba and related systems
  • Incident management: keeping systems up and running by registering, monitoring, and resolving application-related tickets
  • Monitoring overall performance of applications and responsible for integrity of production environment
  • Maintaining applications according to SLA and regional business needs of involved Business Unit(s) and organization
  • Periodic standby for emergencies (24x7 availability schedule)
  • Operationalize priority setting as agreed with the business
  • Functioning as a 1st escalation point for 3rd party vendors and user community
  • Application maintenance related services
  • Ensuring IM process compliance for area of responsibility
  • Taking care of proper and updated documentation of the application
  • Keeping CMDB up to date for business processes and applications in scope
  • Executing changes and enhancements
  • Conducting tests as defined in an integration test specification
  • Analysing and supporting key-users' training needs
  • Periodically visiting customers to discuss tickets, wishes etc. with key users
  • Frequently contacting key users on open tickets
  • Co-responsible for activities to ensure applications function and operate appropriately
  • Supporting project handover activities for the area of responsibility
  • Participating in implementation improvements and optimization projects

Requirements:

  • Professional with sufficient knowledge in own specialized field
  • Experience with relevant business applications, platforms, infrastructures, and business processes
  • Familiar with IT standards like ITIL, Cobit, CMM
  • Certification in system maintenance/configuration/customizing
  • Business process knowledge skills: aware of business processes related to standard packages or specific developments
  • Personal characteristics and people skills: drives for efficient results, customer focus, ownership of incidents and problems, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, positive and proactive attitude, self-motivated
