Linux Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage and maintain Linux systems, including RedHat 6/7/8 and CentOS. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Linux systems, including RedHat 6/7/8 and CentOS.
  • Perform general Unix/Linux administration tasks, such as building and configuring VMs, software package installation, account maintenance, file permissions, and system tuning.
  • Develop and implement Shell scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, manage system services, and harden systems to ensure security and stability.
  • Participate in break/fix activities and release management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer-facing incidents.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in the field.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a Linux systems administrator or equivalent education or training.
  • Degree resulting in an associate or bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and relevant professional certifications.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ticketing systems.
  • Experience with enterprise systems for monitoring.
  • Relevant certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, CCENT, VMware VCP, AWS, Azure.

Preferred Skills:

  • Unix (Solaris/AIX) experience.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking in the OSI model in LAN/WAN environments.
  • Cloud administration experience (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Self-motivated with good time management, communication, and presentation skills across varying organization levels.
