Business Intelligence Data Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting innovative data engineering and reporting solutions to drive business insights.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deploy scalable Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and self-service datasets.
- Implement efficient data models tailored for reporting, including star schema, snowflake, and data marts.
- Create reusable DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and semantic layers.
- Ensure reports and dashboards adhere to governance, security, and performance best practices.
- Support business teams with ad-hoc analysis and report automation.
- Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to load and transform data into data warehouses and marts.
- Collaborate with onsite data architects and engineers to ensure data quality, consistency, and performance.
- Build optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data into reporting environments.
- Partner with onsite leads, data architects, and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide regular status updates, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure alignment with enterprise BI initiatives.
- Collaborate with offshore team members to maintain consistent coding standards and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and automation of reporting workflows.
- 6–9 years of experience in Data Engineering & Business Intelligence.
- Strong hands-on skills in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Power BI Service).
- Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS (ETL development).
- Knowledge of data modeling principles (dimensional, normalized, denormalized).
- Experience working in an offshore delivery model with global teams.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for BI deployments.
- Familiarity with data governance and security models in Power BI.
- Additional experience with cloud-based platforms and tools.
- Certifications in Data Engineering or related fields.
