Job Summary:

A manufacturing engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing production processes to achieve efficient product delivery. This involves analyzing current operations, identifying areas for improvement and developing solutions to streamline workflows, minimize waste and maximize output while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires collaboration with other engineers, technicians and production teams to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Design and Improvement: Analyze existing production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Equipment Selection and Maintenance: Select and specify new equipment based on production needs and oversee the installation and maintenance of production machinery.
  • Quality Control: Establish and maintain quality standards throughout the production process and investigate and resolve quality issues.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving measures in the production process and manage inventory levels to minimize carrying costs.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage production engineering projects from conception to implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant technological knowledge and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead and work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience using CAD or CAM software.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering and minimum 5+ years experience in manufacturing engineering background.
