Key Responsibilities:

As a Coach for Process Improvement and TPM Efficiency at CEAT, you will be responsible for planning and implementing process improvements across various departments. Your role will involve working closely with the Master Coach and sub-department heads to prepare 5S Action plans and training calendars. You will also be responsible for establishing audit parameters and ensuring they are communicated effectively.

Productivity Improvement:
• Lead Value Adding initiatives in the Plant by utilizing Kaizen, VSM, Quality Circle, and Total Productivity Management techniques.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to improve PPM defects on in-line rejections.
• Guide cross-functional teams for cycle time reduction on bottleneck machines by conducting man-machine motion studies and improving cutting tool quality.
• Work towards continuous improvement by supporting continuous improvement/best practice projects in CFTs to identify key areas and take action.
• Serve as an active member of functional teams within the plant that support safety, quality, employee involvement, and performance.
• Drive and lead improvement projects like SARSH, SPC, identification of unsafe conditions, elimination of Muri, and Kaizen in the respective division.

Assessment and Audits:
• Conduct regular rounds and audits to verify 5S Implementation.
• Conduct regular annual Maintenance and SPARSH audits for machines.

Training:
• Develop a thorough understanding of TPM efficiency basics and their integration to deliver increased efficiency results early in the TPM implementation.
• Train peers and workmen cadre at the Plant on the established steps in TPM and coach individuals, teams, and departments regarding steps and act as the primary resource to all departments.
• Train and coach individuals and teams in appropriate use of Process Improvement methodologies and tools.
• Collect Best Practices and share with the senior team at the Plant.
• Keep abreast of technical developments and know-how to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Plant.
• Conduct regular trainings on 5S, QC, SPC, and SPARSH.

Documentation & Analysis:
• Conduct why-why analysis for identification of solutions in production problems.
• Prepare plan vs. actual reports for targets achieved.
• Conduct SPARSH score analysis.
• Maintain MIS for respective division.
• Compile and document all audit scores.
• Prepare Demming diagnosis documentation.
• Prepare and maintain QIP tracker.
