Job Role:

  • The ideal candidate will identify and deliver service improvement initiatives across the business by employing process excellence methodologies and innovative thinking.
  • They will collaborate with key stakeholders to establish a continuous improvement environment that supports an ongoing transformation in manufacturing practices.
  • The selected individual will drive better value and efficiency through process simplification and the identification of improved working methods.
  • They will assist in developing and implementing a best-in-class continuous improvement strategy.
  • Accountability for change initiatives from idea generation through project delivery via governance and controls is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The role involves implementing a standard world-class manufacturing framework across multiple locations.
  • Collaboration with teams and departments to develop new support materials based on revised processes, including training, reporting, and system enhancements.
  • Proactive monitoring of project risks to foresee potential problems and identify solutions in advance.
  • Ensuring the business impact and project objectives/dependencies are identified, reported on, and managed at all times.
  • Establishing programs, delivering coaching, and running projects across sites.
  • Completing post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery and opportunities for future improvements.
  • Improving efficiency KPIs in manufacturing sites.
  • Implementation of lean methods to increase efficiency, throughput, and operational excellence.
  • Ownership of change initiatives from idea generation through project delivery via governance and controls.
  • Supporting plant teams in benchmarking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Supporting operations in policy deployment, cascading KPIs, and KRAs at various business levels.
  • Conducting risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Ensuring ongoing learning and development of employees in Lean improvement tools and communication methods.
  • Coaching and facilitating teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Managing cross-functional team members and interacting professionally with diverse groups.

Desirable Skills:

  • Good honors degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts, including Six Sigma and Lean.
  • Strong analytical, project, and product management skills, with ability to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements.
  • Ability to set up, facilitate, and lead service improvement/workshops with business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in designing or implementing a framework of continuous improvement.
  • Hands-on implementation experience of continuous improvement programs and Lean solutions.
