About the Position

This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence and profitability through process improvements. The individual will work closely with leadership teams to develop and execute a performance transformation strategy, focusing on systems and continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives through process efficiencies.
  • Define standards for manufacturing excellence and establish metrics for tracking progress.
  • Conduct diagnostics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for remediation.
  • Implement value stream mapping exercises to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Promote the use of Lean tools and approaches to achieve manufacturing excellence.
  • Support the execution of improvement projects by providing training and skill building for leaders.
  • Recommend methods to increase product quality and/or service levels.
  • Participate in self-development activities and training of others.
  • Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices to protect employees and visitors.
  • Work closely with other managers to implement improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, Chemical Engineering preferred
  • Extensive experience in implementation of Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement projects in manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Six sigma Black Belt
  • Proven experience with Lean Six Sigma to drive business results
  • Strong technical skills
  • Impact and influence skills and strong experience in change management
  • Initiative
  • Project Management skills

Benefits and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, Chemical Engineering preferred
  • 5-8 years' experience in project/program management, operational excellence / continuous improvement, or consulting role required
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology field and relevant MS/MBA (Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, etc.) preferred
