Direct Tax Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional with specialization in direct taxation to manage the organization's tax compliance, advisory, litigation, and planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Tax Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate income tax returns.
- Handle advance tax computations, tax provisioning, and TDS/TCS compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all tax regulations and timelines.
- Strategic Tax Planning:
- Provide advice on optimizing tax liabilities within legal frameworks.
- Analyze and interpret complex tax laws to provide practical solutions.
- Advise management on the tax implications of new business initiatives.
- Assessment & Litigation:
- Represent the organization before tax authorities for assessments, appeals, and audits.
- Prepare responses to notices and handle tax scrutiny assessments.
- Coordinate with external consultants and counsel for high-stakes tax litigation.
- Transfer Pricing:
- Ensure documentation and compliance related to transfer pricing regulations.
- Assist in preparing transfer pricing studies and dealing with international transactions.
- Audit & Reporting:
- Assist in statutory and tax audits; coordinate with auditors and resolve queries.
- Prepare tax-related schedules and disclosures for financial statements.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and evaluate their impact on the organization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with finance, legal, and business teams for tax-related matters.
- Support M&A, restructuring, and cross-border transactions from a tax perspective.
