Software Engineering Leadership Role

Spectral Consultants seeks a seasoned Software Engineering leader to spearhead the development of a scalable, reliable SaaS platform.

This leadership position requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud-native architectures, containerization, APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code, and serverless computing.

  • Create and execute a comprehensive engineering strategy that aligns with product and business goals.
  • Lead global R&D roadmaps and product transformation initiatives, driving innovation and growth.
  • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee the development and operations of a scalable, reliable SaaS platform, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Sales, and Customer Success teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and drive business success.
  • Making informed technical decisions that balance engineering, business, and customer requirements.
  • Drive ongoing improvements in performance, scalability, stability, and security, championing Agile methodologies and a data-driven engineering culture.
  • Represent engineering to senior stakeholders, providing progress updates and addressing challenges.
  • Requirements:
  • 20+ years in software engineering, with 15+ years in SaaS platform/product development.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams of 100+ engineers across diverse skill sets.
  • Expertise in cloud-native architectures, containers, APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code, and serverless computing.
  • Strong understanding of software and infrastructure cost management.
  • Technical skills: Java, .NET, AWS, RedHat, ETL tools, front-end technologies; familiarity with Github Copilot and Jira.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and building engineering talent pipelines.
