The ideal candidate will be based in our Powai office and work closely with the US team and Private Equity Controller.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to maintain the books and records of our private equity funds in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

The successful candidate will perform cash and position reconciliation, booking daily activities, trade and cash activities, interest debit and paydown activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records for private equity funds
  • Perform cash and position reconciliations and booking of daily activities
  • Review and approve investor capital call/distribution notices and capital statements
  • Calculate investor commitments and remaining commitments
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years accounting experience (administrator side is acceptable)
  • PE accounting experience preferred or accountant at large corporates
  • Strong knowledge of accounting – CA would be preferred
  • Experience with bank loans (term loans and revolvers) and bonds is a major plus
  • Knowledge of Investran, Geneva and Wall Street Office (WSO) is a plus
  • Effective communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage time to meet deadlines
  • Must be sharp and able to problem solve quickly
Salary Information

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,800,000 per annum.
