Workplace Standard Specialist

The Responsible Mica Initiative is seeking a highly motivated professional to support the growth of our activities in India and strengthen our support to upstream supply chain actors located in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh in their journey towards sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish gap assessments of Indian mica processors and mica mines versus RMI's Global Workplace Standard (GWS) and conduct corrective action planning with those processors and mine owners;
  • Support processors and mine owners in implementing corrective actions and closely monitor progress regarding compliance with RMI workplace and due diligence standards;
  • Coordinate collective third-party audit protocols for members, collaborating with RMI's Executive team;
  • Liaise with external auditing companies on a regular basis and develop training content for auditors on RMI standards; Conduct online or face-to-face training sessions related to responsible workplace standards at processing and mining sites;
  • Perform quality checks on audit reports and analyze data to build presentations for team and members;
District level advocacy in Rajasthan
  • Build and maintain relationships with local district governmental officers / authorities. Regularly update this network with RMI's progress, planned activities, challenges;

This role will be based in Bhilwara (Rajasthan state, India) and will work closely with RMI's governance bodies, Executive team, members and partners under the supervision of the Director of Programmes. Ability and willingness to travel in other districts is key (Andhra Pradesh and occasionally Jharkhand).
