Job Title: Fixed Income Portfolio Manager

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated student intern for this extraordinary opportunity. This role is an excellent chance for a self-driven, financially skilled student with an eye for banking to gain valuable experience.

Responsibilities:

Practical assignments associated with fixed income investment and analysis include:

  • Calculating Yield to Maturity (YTM) and assessing returns on different types of fixed-income securities.
  • Determining Present Value (PV) of securities and assessing market pricing strategies.
  • Comparing investment options such as corporate bonds, fixed deposits, and mutual funds.

Additionally, you will develop financial models in Excel, Python, or R to assess risk and return metrics, implement AI-driven approaches for analyzing credit risk and probability of default, and work on Value at Risk (VaR) simulations and machine learning models for risk assessment.

Debt Market and Credit Research tasks involve analyzing corporate bond spreads, relative valuations, and structured finance instruments, conducting data cleaning and visualization for sovereign credit research and CDS time series data, and assisting in the structuring and evaluation of project finance and asset-backed securities.

Technology and Automation in Finance responsibilities include understanding Microsoft Excel AI tools for financial modeling, developing and testing AI models for credit derivatives and portfolio risk assessment, and working on FinTech tools like Virtual Risk Analyser and Virtual Portfolio Analyser.

Qualifications:

A student from any academic discipline is eligible to apply.

Internship Details:

Duration: Self-paced with options of 1, 2, 3, or 4 months.

Type: Unpaid internship.
