Senior Backend Developer Position Summary

We are looking for a seasoned backend developer to join our team and take on the responsibility of designing, building, and optimizing scalable, high-performance services using Node.js.

This role involves owning and driving backend architecture and development, designing and building APIs, microservices, and integrations, collaborating with front-end developers to define interfaces, data contracts, and integrate front/backend, handling deployment, infrastructure, and operations on AWS, and ensuring code quality through tests, code reviews, best practices, and documentation.

  • Owning and driving backend architecture and development, including design and implementation of scalable, high-performance services.
  • Designing and building APIs, microservices, and integrations that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, designers, and product managers, to define interfaces, data contracts, and ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend.
  • Handling deployment, infrastructure, and operations on AWS, including setting up environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring, security, and scalability.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:
  • Deep expertise in Node.js, Express, and building and maintaining backend services in production.
  • Strong experience with MongoDB: schema design, indexing, querying, scaling, performance optimization.
  • Comfortable with front end using React (with Vite), understanding of how backend & frontend interact.
  • Strong experience in AWS: setting up environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring, security.
  • Experience with microservices, distributed systems, handling high traffic, fault tolerance.
