Backend Systems Architect

We are seeking an experienced Backend Systems Architect to design and build scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js (NestJS framework preferred) and TypeScript, with experience in GraphQL API design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable backend systems using Node.js (NestJS) and TypeScript.
  • Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs and multiple system integrations.
  • Architect, optimize, and scale backend systems on Azure Container Apps.
  • Implement Azure OpenAI integrations and OCR pipelines.
  • Work on both monolithic and microservices-based architectures.
  • Design and integrate event-driven, real-time systems with WebSocket connections.
  • Ensure 90–95% unit test coverage for all code developed.
  • Conduct performance tuning, scalability improvements, and debugging.

Requirements:

  • 8–10 years of backend engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in Node.js (NestJS framework preferred).
  • Proficiency in TypeScript with a focus on scalable architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in GraphQL API design, implementation, and integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Azure cloud (Container Apps, scaling, performance tuning).
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI integrations and OCR pipelines.
  • Proven background in monolithic and microservices architectures.
  • Experience with event-driven systems, real-time processing, and WebSockets.
  • Ability to deliver maintainable code with 90–95% unit test coverage.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
