Consultant for Manufacturing and Distribution Processes

Our company is seeking an experienced consultant to work directly with clients in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes and the ability to translate these requirements into actionable solutions.

Responsibilities">
  • Gather requirements from decision-makers and key users, and recommend optimal business processes relative to ERP functionality
  • Understand and improve manufacturing business processes and devise methods to implement them with the ERP application
  • Conduct functional assessments at client sites within the manufacturing / distribution / planning areas
  • Configure and test ERP to perform specific functionality to satisfy business requirements
  • Assist with full site implementations and upgrades, including pilot testing, data validation, development of data transformation rules and governance procedures, and post-implementation support
  • Troubleshoot ERP anomalies and process issues
  • Maintain documentation relative to ERP implementation/upgrade
  • Interact with business users for training, problem-solving, and automation of business processes
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve current processes and procedures
  • Assess impacts of system changes and ensure effective delivery of application functionality and integration
  • Liaise between clients and developers to help define custom programming needs
  • Meet project deadlines

Qualifications">
  • At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience with implementing or supporting ERP applications
  • Strong functional knowledge in your area of expertise
  • Business experience in the same domain area is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with the creation of functional specifications and the execution of test cases
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required
