PMS Systems Expert

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled PMS systems expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in analyzing and implementing PMS solutions, with a strong understanding of enterprise computing needs in the shipping industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing various aspects of PMS data, preparing documents as per the need.
  • Understanding and documenting client requirements.
  • Analyzing gaps between user requirements and system features, providing input to the development team.
  • Testing functional aspects of modules developed by the team, producing desired reports/outcomes.
  • Contribute in training internal/external users on PMS and related modules whenever required.

Ship Visit and Other Responsibilities:

  • Attaining vessels for implementation/issue fixing and training purposes.
  • Assisting vessels in the data collection process and updating PMS data onboard.
  • Training shipboard personnel on using the system, including backing up databases and system recovery.
  • Providing support to vessels/remote offices for the system and related modules.

Requirements:

  • Third/fourth engineer or equivalent with a minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Shore experience in a shipping management company as a PMS coordinator/controller with an educational background in naval architecture and marine engineering.
  • Experience and deep understanding of enterprise computing needs of ship management companies.
  • Strong organizational skills covering project management and cost analysis.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent typing and analyzing skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and meticulous with an eye for detail.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
