Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to support employees in India with queries across their employment life cycle.

The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Indian employment law, be savvy on HR best practices, and possess the ability to proactively suggest policy improvements and process simplification.

A key focus for this role is to deploy programs strategically supporting the DCS agenda. The successful candidate will also support the implementation of a new HR system - Workday.

The team is dynamic and internationally based, made up of innovative and problem-solving minds that creatively find better ways of doing things.

Key Responsibilities
  1. HR Strategy and Alignment:
  • Collaborate with the team to implement global HR strategies and initiatives in India.
  • Ensure local HR activities align with objectives and way of operating.
  1. Employee Relations:
  • Be a primary point of contact for line managers requiring coaching and guidance on dealing with HR-related concerns.
  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee issues, conduct investigations, and resolving conflicts in accordance with Indian employment law.
  1. Recruitment and Talent Management:
  • Implement talent management and retention strategies to attract and retain key talent in India.
  • Support recruitment processes, including interviewing and advising on candidates.
  • Monitor market trends and find solutions to skills shortages in the industry.
  1. Compliance and Legal:
  • Ensure compliance with all Indian employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and advise accordingly.
  1. Performance Management:
  • Guide line managers on managing performance, from goal setting to regular talent reviews and appraisals.
  1. Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs and provide development solutions for employees in India.
  1. Compensation and Benefits:
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs in line with policies and local regulations.
  1. HR Reporting and Metrics:
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
  1. Deployment of HR System (s):
  • Collaborate to ensure the system build and processes are compliant and aligned to local legislation and policies.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience in India, with a strong understanding of Indian employment laws.
  • Experience working effectively with an internationally dispersed team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive information.
