Job Title

Principal Legal Counsel

This is a key leadership role within the legal department, responsible for providing legal and compliance solutions to the business. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned legal professional with 14-18 years of experience in a similar capacity.

The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the legal team to manage the company's enterprise-wide compliance program. This includes implementing and adopting a whistleblower program that has global and regional reach.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the company's whistleblower program
  • Conduct global investigations and negotiate remediations
  • Contribute to Compliance & Integrity Plan reviews and prepare action plans
  • Review and improve whistleblower systems and employee feedback mechanisms
  • Plan and conduct trainings and communications to enhance the whistleblower program
  • Stay up-to-date on new regulations and laws by reviewing proposed legislation and regulations
  • Derive policy administration and regular communications
  • Effectively handle complaints and investigations and remediation process
  • Collaborate with various functions to assist in business expansion efforts
  • Advise on public policy and support business positions
  • Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer with JD and relevant experience as compliance counsel
  • Additional qualification CA/CFA preferred
  • Essential Skills:
  • Extensive report development experience and policy procedure development
  • Interest in using technology for efficient program implementation
  • Analytical skills relating to business processes data and interpersonal relations
  • Experience in public speaking and business presentation
  • Knowledge of industry regulatory standards
  • Independent project management skills
  • Excellent analytical communication skills
