The position of Financial Controller is a pivotal role within our organization, overseeing the Finance function for our upcoming Gateway hotel in India.

This key position requires strong leadership skills to champion and implement property-wide strategies that deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Drive financial expertise to support the successful execution of our brand service strategy and initiatives.
  • Create and execute a business plan aligned with our property and brand's strategic objectives, focusing on financial and accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning and Decision Making
  • Develop and analyze data to improve profit margins, including cost estimation and benefit analysis.
  • Analyze sales performance against expenses and create annual budget plans.
  • Monitor actual sales against projected sales, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure efficient budget planning by analyzing differences between actual and forecasted wages.
  • Apply analytical skills to break down information and identify underlying principles or facts.
  • Think creatively to develop and implement new business plans, enhancing profitability.
  • Create an annual operating budget for the property, providing ongoing analytical support.
  • Implement a system of controls to manage business risks effectively.
  • Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
  • Stay up-to-date with financial data and market trends.
Leading Finance & Accounting Teams
  • Utilize excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and motivate team members.
  • Communicate clear goals and priorities to subordinates, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Leverage strong functional leadership skills to influence executive teams and lead own team effectively.
  • Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
  • Assign clear accountability to team members and other departments, backed by appropriate authority.
Qualifications
  • Candidates must possess a CA/MBA/Masters degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting, preferably within the hotel industry.
