Job Description

Our organization is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to develop, maintain and improve scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Spring Boot.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying and maintaining high-performance microservices, ensuring seamless integration with frontend applications and other systems.

In this role, you will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable products and implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience in backend development with Java.
  • Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, REST APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL/MySQL (indexes, joins, query optimization, data modeling).
  • Solid debugging and problem-solving skills with production systems.
  • Experience with Kafka, Redis, NoSQL databases is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices (Agile, CI/CD, TDD).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, develop, and optimize backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  2. Build and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
  3. Work with SQL/MySQL to design schemas, optimize queries, and improve database performance.
  4. Debug and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
  5. Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA teams to deliver features end-to-end.
  6. Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployments.
  7. Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
  8. Contribute to architecture discussions and design decisions for new systems.
