Production Supervisor Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to oversee daily production operations, ensuring that all activities are executed in accordance with established company policies and industry standards.

  • Operational Oversight: You will be responsible for managing the entire production workflow, from receipt and verification of raw materials to final product storage. This includes overseeing online updates of batch production records and controlling work permits and job cards during each shift.
  • Quality Assurance: As a key part of this role, you must ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance and maintain a continuous focus on improving product and process quality. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Team Leadership: You will allot tasks to subordinates and supervisors, guiding and training them for continuous improvement in quality standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing team discipline and ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Safety Management: In the event of an emergency, you must be prepared according to the Emergency Management Plan, aiming for zero avoidable Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) incidents. You will also ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of management systems, including Quality Management Systems (QMS), Inventory Management, and Compliance Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage production workflow, including receipt and verification of raw materials and final product storage.
  2. Ensure GMP compliance and maintain a continuous focus on improving product and process quality.
  3. Lead and manage a team, allocating tasks and guiding training for continuous improvement.
  4. Implement and maintain management systems, including QMS, Inventory Management, and Compliance Systems.
  5. Oversee online updates of batch production records and control work permits and job cards during each shift.
