Job Title: Vehicle Durability Specialist

The role involves developing detailed finite element analysis (FEA) models for assessing vehicle durability. You will be responsible for evaluating the fatigue life, vibration endurance/fatigue, and load-bearing capacity of complete vehicle systems under diverse operating conditions.

This is a full-time position that requires expertise in creating detailed FEA models for endurance testing, fatigue analysis, and vibration analysis. Experience with NCode, NASTRAN, ANSA, or Abaqus is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of multi-body dynamics, materials interaction, and road load data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed FEA models to evaluate vehicle durability, focusing on fatigue life, vibration endurance/fatigue, and load-bearing capacity for complete vehicle systems under diverse operating conditions.
  • Perform road load data analysis to determine component and system damage levels.
  • Correlate load data with CAE fatigue predictions to establish accurate cyclic load and damage predictions.
  • Optimize complete vehicle durability by assessing structural load paths, material fatigue thresholds, and road load transfer mechanisms for components such as chassis, suspension, body structures, and powertrain mounts.
  • Develop and implement durability test plans, block-cycles, for specific vehicle components and systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in creating detailed FEA models for endurance testing, fatigue analysis, and vibration analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of multi-body dynamics and effects of vibration, materials interaction etc. on fatigue and durability.
  • Hands-on experience in using NCode, NASTRAN, ANSA, or Abaqus.
