Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional with expertise in record-to-report processes, accounting, and stakeholder management to lead our team. The ideal candidate will drive process excellence, ensure compliance, and partner with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the record-to-report function including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing to ensure seamless financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate accounting, reconciliations, and reporting in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls to maintain transparency and integrity.
  • Manage and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany accounting to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support audits, compliance, and financial analysis requirements to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and control frameworks to maintain high standards.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance management for the record-to-report team to foster growth and development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of record-to-report processes including general ledger, closing, and reporting, reconciliations, and controls to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP/IND AS) to navigate complex financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Excel to leverage technology effectively.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills to drive results and build trust.
  • Ability to manage a team and drive performance to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 10-14 years of overall experience with at least 4-5 years in record-to-report and team leadership to demonstrate expertise and leadership skills.
  • Prior exposure to shared services or global finance operations is highly desirable to bring depth and breadth to the role.
