Financial Operations Manager

Key Finance Position

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to oversee and manage our financial operations, provide strategic direction, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the capital structure and optimal financing options for the company.
• Provide strategic direction and track cash flow, manage accounting and finance departments, and ensure accurate financial reports.
• Oversight and management of the accounting team on a day-to-day basis, including regular accounting, Tally management, reviewing and ensuring timely GST & TDS filing by the accounting firm, reviewing and overseeing MIS, cashflow & vendor ledger work, business modeling & forecasting for investors, next quarter, half year, and FY planning for expenses, weekly and monthly cash flows preparation, assist in reconciling all balance sheet & income statement accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis as indicated by the monthly closing schedule, assist in annual budgeting, planning process, administering and reviewing all financial plans, ensure operational compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations for any necessary entities, managing direct & indirect tax compliance along with internal & external audits, managing invoicing & processing vendor and other payments along with salaries, reimbursements.
• Taking responsibility for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and helping drive the company's financial strategy and hiring needs.
• Leading the development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same.
• Ensuring cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.
• Developing and implementing best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.
• Complying with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action.
• Working with founders to efficiently develop budget proposals, providing access to project finance information, and ensuring contract/grant compliance and reporting.
• Researching revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyzing internal operations, and identifying areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
• Performing risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluating and managing capital structure and fundraising initiatives.
• Monitoring business performance with tracking tools, establishing corrective measures as needed, and preparing detailed reports for earnings calls, management team, and rest of company.
• Managing finance personnel and overseeing financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities (e.g. Financial Accounting Standards Board, Internal Revenue Service, state attorneys general).

Requirements:

• Five or more years of experience in financial & commercial roles.
• Minimum 2 years experience in executive leadership / team handling role.
• CA qualification or Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance.
• Experience in independently handling finalization of books of accounts including but not limited to balance sheet, P&L, cash flow statements etc.
• Experience working with founders / business leads on core strategic objectives.
• Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
• Working knowledge of how to raise capital both through equity sale and traditional lines of credit.
• Experience in handling fund raise mandates, due diligence, and investor relations.
• Experience in accounting & ERP software along with OMS tools.
• Must be goal-oriented, assertive, and a hands-on problem solver.
• Should possess excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail along with organizational and time management skills.
