Database Specialist Wanted

We are seeking a seasoned Database Specialist to oversee the management and maintenance of our Oracle database systems.

  • Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle database software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • The successful candidate will also implement and maintain robust database security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • In addition, they will optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, tuning SQL queries, and configuring database parameters.
  • They will troubleshoot complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.
  • Furthermore, the Database Specialist will develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, ensuring business continuity and minimizing data loss.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a strong foundation in database concepts and administration.
  • Experience with Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, with the ability to write efficient and effective database code.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.

Qualified candidates should have a proven track record of success in database administration and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
