Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with a focus on Oracle Exadata systems. They will be responsible for the development and sustainment of multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms, ensuring operational readiness (security, health, and performance) for both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Administration and optimization of Oracle Exadata systems.
  • Management of Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Leadership of end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI.
  • Design and implementation of high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Monitoring and tuning performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of production database support.
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Strong background in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required; OCI certifications preferred.
