Key Financial Leadership Role

This is a high-profile role that requires an individual to take charge of the financial and administrative operations of our India office. As part of this team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring statutory compliance, procurement, insurance administration, and operational support.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field, along with 5-7 years' experience in finance, accounting, or business operations. They should also have a strong working knowledge of Indian labour law, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.

  • Financial Management: Develop and implement effective accounting systems, ensure timely bookkeeping and reconciliations, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian statutory requirements.
  • Payroll and Compliance: Oversee employee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all applicable Indian labour, tax, and provident fund laws. Manage TDS, GST (if applicable), and other statutory filings with relevant authorities.
  • Insurance and Risk Management: Lead the procurement, review, and renewal of essential business insurance policies, including public liability insurance and cybersecurity insurance. Liaise with brokers and insurers to ensure coverage levels are appropriate to our operational risk profile.
  • Financial Instruments and Banking Infrastructure: Establish and manage banking relationships, ensuring optimal account structures for operational efficiency. Ensure compatibility with cloud-based accounting platforms, such as Xero.
  • Procurement and Office Operations: Manage procurement of IT equipment, software licenses, and office supplies. Coordinate with co-working providers and vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
