Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of preventive maintenance and breakdowns of instruments and electrical equipment.

• Manage preventive maintenance and breakdowns of instruments and electrical equipment to meet or exceed maintenance requirements.
• Communicate with authorities and comply with all associated legal requirements.
• Coordinate with regional teams to implement best maintenance practices like Risk-Based Maintenance (RBM) and Efficient Plant Management (EPM).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage departmental activities for instrumentation and electrical sides.
• Handle and ensure compliance related to nucleonic gauges, work as radiological safety officer for the organization.
• Ensure timely compliance of instrumentation (weights and measure metrology-related, GPCB-related, etc.) and electrical (annual inspection, DG set registration & duty filing, communication with DGVCL/GETCO, etc.).
• Experience on Rockwell Automation PLC systems (Control Logix, Plant PAX, FT Batch, SCADA, and logic programming development).
• Experience of SAP and SAP Plant Maintenance module (notification, work order management).
• Experience on filter press hydraulic systems, spray dryer burner systems, boiler burner, and safety interlocking systems.
• Ensure timely calibration of field instruments, MCI, and various measuring instruments.
• Ensure timely attendance to breakdown and emergency repair jobs.
• Guide subordinates to repair equipment and keep it ready to use as per requirement.
• Ensure proper and safe operation of equipment used during maintenance and calibration.
• Install, commission, and validate new equipment. Instrument and electrical-related mechanical support designing, fabrication through vendor.
• Sizing and selection of proper instruments (knowledge of mass flow meters, pressure transmitters, thermocouples, magnetic flowmeters, pH meters, turbidity meters, conductivity meters, ozone generators, weighing systems, etc.).
• Telephone EPBX programming, configuration, CCTV configuration, etc.
• Contract manpower planning, assigning them jobs daily and ensuring safe maintenance.
• Plan, schedule, and carry out shutdown maintenance jobs.
• Support in controlling maintenance cost, analyzing breakdown, prepare CAPA, diagnosing, identifying the root cause, and implementing actions.
• Coordination with external vendors and other departments and sustain teamwork.
• Carry out cost estimates for equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement.
• Attend assigned EHSQ and GMP-related actions.
• Meet applicable EHS legal and Evonik requirements.
• To ensure safe maintenance through adherence to the EHS policy, life-saving rules, work permit, use of personal protective equipment, management of change, pre-job plan, incident reporting, EHS procedures, etc.
• Prepare and maintain documents like equipment history cards, maintenance checklists, reports to management, standard practice instructions, ISO-related, etc.
• Communication with authority and compliance of legal requirements.
• Active participation in conceptualization to execution to commissioning of projects.
• Ensure availability of spares by working with purchase department and engineering stores by implementing Min/Max system for spares.
• Preparation of appropriation requests for major expenditures.
• Responsible for imparting training on SAP Maintenance Module to all new joiners of the department.
• Digitalization initiatives like OT security including global policy/standard implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech. – Instrumentation or Electronics & Communication with 10-12 years of experience in maintenance of plant.
• Additional requirements - Training cum Certification course on Radiation Safety Aspects of Nucleonic Gauges.
• Active registration on ELORA AERB website for Radiation Professional.
