Job Title

Database Administration Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled database administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems.

  • Install, configure, and maintain multiple SQL Server instances.
  • Setup environments for use within the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle.
  • Define, design, implement, and monitor control procedures.
  • Backup and continuously review the backup strategy.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
  • Monitor and optimize performance.
  • Tune queries (index maintenance and management, housekeeping, memory, CPU, disk I/O, etc.).
  • Plan and execute Service Pack upgrades.
  • Work alongside project teams during software release and patching.
  • Track and report on regular tasks executed to ensure system availability and maintain a continuous improvement roadmap.
  • Proactively identify productivity opportunities.
  • Experience in a Windows-based 24/7 environment including 1st/2nd line support.
  • Involved in the design and build of new systems, including high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English written and verbal.
  • Ability to write stored procedures, write complex SQL queries, and analyze SQL data is desired.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Couchbase cluster tuning and configuration.
  • Expertise in XDCR and high-availability setup to meet application requirements.
  • Good exposure on Linux platforms OS level basic administrative tasks needed by DBAs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
