**About the Role**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join our growing IT team in Hyderabad. You will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our mission-critical SQL Server databases, ensuring their performance, security, and availability. This role requires a strong understanding of SQL Server administration, as well as experience with Windows Server administration. Experience with Azure is highly desirable.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install and configure new Microsoft servers for SQL Server setup.
- Install and upgrade MSSQL database and work on remote hosted and cloud-based SQL services (e.g., Azure).
- Create test, training, production, and development databases.
- Set up and manage user accounts, ensuring correct privileges and security.
- Monitor performance and tune the database for efficiency.
- Undertake database upgrades.
- Backup, cloning, and recovery.
- Implement security changes and patches.
- Compile and maintain full technical documentation.
- Database organization.
- Monitor and control storage space usage.
- Manage batch jobs.
- System administration of Windows servers hosting SQL Server.
- Troubleshoot technical problems, diagnose causes, and implement or organize resolutions.
- Assist in the evaluation and procurement of software and major hardware items.
- Prepare detailed plans for major upgrades requiring system downtime.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator (3+ years minimum - specify, adjust as needed).
- Extensive knowledge of SQL Server administration, including performance tuning, security, backup/recovery, and high availability.
- Experience with Windows Server administration.
- Experience with cloud-based SQL services (e.g., Azure) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.

Pay: ₹392,855.73 - ₹1,540,026.94 per year
