SQL Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join our team. This pivotal role requires a professional with a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server Administration, focusing on database security, access management, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Security Management: Manage and implement database server security patch management to protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Database Access Control: Oversee database access management, ensuring appropriate permissions and security protocols are in place.
  • SQL Server Administration: Administer MS SQL Server Standard Edition and various SQL Server Instances.
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization (PTO): Conduct Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) to enhance database efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Monitoring & Tools: Utilize monitoring tools such as Redgate - Monitoring, and ideally New Relic or Ivanti, to proactively manage database health and performance.
  • Cloud Environment: Work with databases deployed in AWS environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong Experience as a SQL DBA: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Expertise in Database Server Security Patch Management: Strong experience with database server security patch management.
  • Proficiency in Database Access Management: Proficiency in database access management.
  • Hands-on Experience with SQL Server Standard Edition: Hands-on experience with SQL Server Standard edition and managing SQL Server Instances.
  • Experience with Redgate - Monitoring: Experience with Redgate - Monitoring.
  • Familiarity with AWS: Familiarity with AWS.
  • Knowledge of New Relic or Ivanti: Knowledge of New Relic or Ivanti.
