Bookkeeper Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a remote position with a competitive salary and performance incentives.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, and preparing payroll inputs. They will also reconcile bank and credit card accounts, manage cash flow, and ensure timely period closes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain clean financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet preparation.
  • Process payments, credit memos, and vendor statements in a timely manner.
  • Prepare payroll inputs, including hours, tips, and PTO, and reconcile payroll journals.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, including fees and chargebacks.
  • Manage cash flow, including setting and monitoring cash-handling controls and deposit cadence.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in SMB or franchise bookkeeping (multi-unit preferred).
  • Proficient with QuickBooks Online and Xero.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one POS system listed above and marketplace/aggregator reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP basics, sales tax, payroll journal entries, and multi-state nuances.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and basic modeling.
