Responsibilities:

We are looking for a candidate with a strong grasp of accounting principles, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing day-to-day transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, cash receipts, and general ledger entries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in daily financial postings, reconciliations, and closing activities. They will also oversee cash flow to ensure the organisation meets all financial commitments.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Managing daily financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, cash receipts, and general ledger entries.">
  • Ensuring accuracy in daily financial postings, reconciliations, and closing activities.">
  • Overseeing cash flow to ensure the organisation meets all financial commitments.">
  • Account Reconciliation & Reporting:">
  • Reconciling bank statements and other financial statements to ensure alignment with internal accounts.">
  • Preparing, reviewing, and presenting daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to highlight financial performance and trends.">
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.">
  • Budget Tracking & Variance Analysis:">
  • Monitoring and tracking budget allocations, spending patterns, and variances against forecasts.">
  • Conducting variance analysis and communicating findings to support budgeting and forecasting activities.">
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide insights on budget adherence.">
  • Compliance & Regulatory Support:">
  • Ensuring adherence to local and statutory accounting principles and guidelines.">
  • Assisting with audits and facilitating responses to auditors on transactional and general ledger inquiries.">
  • Maintaining and updating financial records to ensure compliance with financial regulations.">

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.">
  • Proven work experience (4+ years) in an accounting or finance role, ideally in managing day-to-day operations.">
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP) and MS Office, particularly Excel.">
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.">
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance standards, and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).">
  • Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with various departments.">
