Job Title: Security and Loss Prevention Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Security and Loss Prevention Coordinator is responsible for providing security and asset protection services to ensure the safety of lives, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, and intellectual property. This role reports to the Security Loss Prevention Manager and works closely with the Operational team and cross-functional teams to support the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate security screening processes for all personnel exiting the facility.
  • Complete ad-hoc and batch badge requests within the allotted Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Assign access to individuals and/or groups with proper approval.
  • Escalate all critical incidents to business partners, including SLP leadership, Operations, HR, Safety, etc.
  • Maintain access controls and security tools, including keys, asset stickers, and lost and found items.
  • Respond to and assist with unlocking/opening doors, escorting SLP vendors, and other duties assigned by the SLPM.
  • Perform interior and exterior patrols to identify potential theft, vandalism, or unsafe behavior/situations and escalate to the appropriate SLP, HR, or Leadership contact.
  • Utilize the CCTV system to gather facts and aid in the investigative process.
  • Respond to and investigate alarms as directed by the Global Security Operations Center, CMRS, or SLPM within the required SLA.
  • Enhance, track, and report on key performance-indicating metrics to drive performance improvements and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Conduct process audits on the production floor and escalate findings of non-compliance.
  • Conduct Security Compliance audits to ensure physical standards are in place.
  • Monitor inventory to identify theft or shortages and investigate suspicious customer and/or employee activity.
  • Review loss matrices as per business requirements/cadence and prepare root cause/action plans with the Site SLPM and key stakeholders.
  • Data analysis on various loss buckets to derive mechanisms to control shrink.
  • Liaise and cooperate with law enforcement and industry bodies to support Amazon interests.
A Day in the Life:
  • Monitor shrinkage and take corrective action.
  • Complete audits and ensure compliance.
  • Keep stakeholders informed on updates and progress.
  • Close investigations and implement recommendations.
  • Undertake and undergo training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Update tools with relevant inputs and closures in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Graduation/University degree or equivalent through experience and professional certification.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the field of Security, Loss Prevention, Shrinkage, Asset Protection, Investigations, Inventory.
  • Analytical decision-making with a demonstrated ability to problem-solve.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APP/TAPA/CSS/Certifications in Security/Risk Management/Cyber Security.
  • Extensive knowledge of security equipment and technology.
  • Experience in managing or coordinating security investigations of complex nature.
  • Exposure to MNC culture and dynamics.
  • Ability to make decisions in complex situations and drive issues to completion.
  • Driven by a desire to learn and continuously raise the knowledge bar.
