Job Description

As a senior health actuary, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's product development and pricing strategy. Your expertise in data analysis, programming skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas will be instrumental in driving business growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and price health insurance products that meet the evolving needs of customers. You will apply your analytical skills to identify trends, calculate cost projections, and develop solutions to mitigate risks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting product approval processes for retail and group health businesses.
  • Collaborating with global Allianz OE teams to enhance product and pricing strategies.
  • Conducting deep dives into current practices and approaches to identify improvement areas.
  • Developing data-driven solutions to address complex business challenges.
  • Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders to convey insights and recommendations.
Requirements
  • University degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, data science, or related quantitative fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an actuary in health insurance product design and pricing.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and practical programming experience in R or Python.
  • High degree of self-organization and willingness to take ownership.
  • Problem-solving skills to address complex issues related to product development and pricing.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and market conditions.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
