Our organization seeks a skilled professional to fill the role of Geospatial Data Specialist. This position involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting geospatial data to support informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of image analysis techniques, including band combinations, pixel depth, and image strip artifacts removal. They must also be able to validate and ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of spatial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection and Management: Search, collect, process, and manage large datasets, including GIS data, satellite imagery, and other spatial data sources.
  • ETL operations: Perform ETL operations between GIS applications/database using Esri Desktop or Server. Collaborate with third-party vendors to deploy solutions based on business requirements.
  • GIS Analysis and Mapping: Conduct spatial analysis, map creation, and geospatial model development to aid various projects and initiatives.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through quality checks and resolution of data discrepancies using ArcGIS Data Reviewer.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including project managers, analysts, and external partners, to comprehend data requirements. They must be able to create training materials, conduct trainings, and support trade shows and Esri conferences as required.

Requirements
  • Masters degree in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Image processing techniques.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify, research, and resolve issues proactively and provide recommendations to business partners, peers, and various levels of management.
