Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geospatial Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing and building cloud-based geospatial services using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions for geospatial data processing and analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge geospatial features.

This role requires strong technical expertise in Python, AWS, and related tools such as Docker, GeoPandas, and Rasterio. You should also have excellent problem-solving skills, ability to communicate complex technical ideas effectively, and collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python programming language, including libraries like XGBoost and Scikit-learn.
  • Deep understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Lambda, S3, API Gateway, and IAM.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with AWS CDK or Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of geospatial data processing using libraries like GeoPandas and Rasterio.
  • Familiarity with GIS data visualization using Mapbox GL JS or similar libraries.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to independently solve complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate technical decisions and collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
