Regenerative Organic Farmer Lead

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Regenerative Organic Farmer Lead to lead our production and operations.
  • This role will involve planning, logistics, and delivery metrics within our cluster.
  • Closely collaborate with our sales team to forecast market demands and plan production accordingly.
  • Execute contracting farming activities with network farmers while adhering to company practices.
  • Mobilize and finalize suitable farmers, motivating and training them in regenerative organic production methods as per protocols.
  • Monitor farming activities to ensure compliance with company standards and prevent chemical usage.
  • Manage collection centers at each Regional Agricultural Center (RAC), receiving vegetables from network farmers, sorting, grading, and storage.
  • Evaluate produce quality and collaborate with operations teams to supply produce to Collection Centers/Distribution Centers.
  • Plan RAC-level input production according to vegetable production plans.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to execute best practices in regenerative agriculture and provide feedback to the Technical Centre of Excellence.
  • Budget planning and cost optimization for all activities.
  • Explore opportunities for expansion across multiple locations within the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning: Develop and implement effective production plans to meet market demands.
  • Logistics Management: Ensure timely and efficient movement of produce from farms to collection centers.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and evaluate produce quality to maintain high standards.
  • Farmer Development: Train and motivate farmers in regenerative organic production methods.
  • Technical Support: Collaborate with technical teams to execute best practices in regenerative agriculture.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Agriculture or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in regenerative organic farming.
  • Strong understanding of regenerative agriculture principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
