Aquaculture Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the implementation of field operations and maintain strong relationships with farmers at our initiative. Key Responsibilities:

• Field Leadership
  • Manage 3+ team members responsible for implementing field protocols
  • Supervise the timely and accurate collection of data by team members
  • Conduct audits and quality control to ensure adherence to protocols
• Farmer Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with farmers
  • Obtain farm information and update our records accordingly
  • Spending 50%+ of your time in the field engaging with stakeholders
• Scaling and Strategic Assistance
  • Provide input during strategic meetings with leadership
  • Lead the process of enrolling new farms in our initiative

Requirements:

• Nationality: Right to work in India
• Experience with field programs: 1 year of experience managing field programs in development, environmental protection, or animal advocacy sectors
• Language: Fluent in oral and written Telugu and English
• Location: Full-time presence in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh required
• Transportation: Ability to drive a motorbike or scooter on rural roads

Ideal Criteria:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or greater in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Social Sciences, or other sciences
• Technical expertise: Previous experience with water quality analysis and management in aquaculture
