Job Description

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and managing computerized databases, including their definition, structure, and documentation. This involves ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, as well as establishing and maintaining security and integrity controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist more experienced Database Administrators with the testing of database software, utilities, and patches within a test environment.
  • Assist in the migration of tested/approved database software, utilities, and patches to production.
  • Assist with the completion of authentication and authorization requests by creating/purging/maintaining user accounts, adding/deleting/modifying table and data permissions.
  • Perform scheduled database audit procedures to track changes made or new items created within the database environment.
  • Assist in scheduling database back-up tasks and observe experienced DBAs during disaster recovery and/or recovery exercises.
  • Assist with storage and capacity planning by executing established reports and gathering additional data.

This role requires a strong working knowledge of Oracle Recovery Manager, Data Guard, and Golden Gate technologies.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Experience or Degree.
  • Extensive Knowledge of multiple database disciplines and technologies.
  • Ability to work on problems of moderate scope, applying company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
