We are seeking an experienced and skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in developing and designing scalable database solutions that drive business success.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production databases, including security, deployment, maintenance, and performance monitoring. You will also be expected to design and implement new installations on cloud hosting platforms and deploy and maintain on-premise installations of SQL Server on Linux/MySQL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage production databases servers, including security, deployment, maintenance and performance monitoring.
  • Set up SQL Server replication, mirroring and high availability across hybrid environments.
  • Design and implement new installations on Azure, AWS and cloud hosting with no specific DB services.
  • Deploy and maintain on premise installations of SQL Server on Linux/ MySQL installation.
  • Implement database security and protection against SQL injection and exploitation of intellectual property.
  • Collaborate with development teams on data storage and query design/optimization.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of essential applications.
  • Demonstrate expertise and provide valuable input throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Help design and implement scalable, lasting technology solutions.
  • Review current systems and suggest updates as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as SQL Server DBA and as MySQL DBA.
  • Experience with Ubuntu Linux knowledge is preferred.
  • MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP/ Azure DBA/MySQL certifications are a plus.
