Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Database Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of SQL Server databases.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install and patch SQL Server from version 2005 to 2022, including Service Packs, Cumulative Updates, and Hotfixes (GDR, QFE).
  • Patch hierarchy and clarity on SQL Build numbers and Internal Database build numbers.
  • Upgrade and migrate SQL Server databases from older versions to newer versions.
  • Configure linked servers between same and different SQL Server versions.
  • Set up contained databases and utilize them for effective migrations.
  • Configure recovery models and design backup strategies.
  • Fine-tune backups using Backup Encryption, Compression, and special parameters.
  • Handle master, model, MSDB, TEMPDB, and resource database corruptions.
  • Configure High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, including Always-On AG, Log Shipping, Mirroring, Clustering.
  • Administer and configure HA/DR solutions, such as Clustering, Always-ON Group.
  • Configure and manage all types of replications and troubleshoot.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, T-SQL, Triggers, and Procedures.
  • Administration and configuration of HA/DR solutions, including Clustering, Always-ON Group.
  • Configuration and management of replication and troubleshooting.
  • Patch management and SQL Server tuning.
  • Automation using scripts and tools for backup, monitoring, resource utilization, HA alerts, capacity plan management.
